Why do you need my VIN before I order?
Short answer
The VIN identifies your exact car - engine, model year and factory options - so the module is prepared for the right control units and software.
Two cars sold under the same name can be built very differently. The VIN (vehicle identification number) is the reliable way to know what your car actually has:
- the model series and chassis code;
- the engine and model year;
- factory options, such as AIRMATIC or MULTIBEAM LED headlights.
MWMods modules are prepared for one specific car before shipping. Checking the VIN first avoids ordering a module that does not match your control units or equipment. You can find the VIN on your registration, insurance card or at the base of the windshield on the driver's side.
