How is an MWMods module installed?
Short answer
Connect the hand-held module to the OBD-II port, select the function and activate it - no laptop, wiring or special tools. Then unplug the module.
MWMods modules are designed for plug-and-play use. In most cases installation takes a few steps:
- Switch the ignition on with the engine off, as described in the instructions for your module.
- Connect the module to the OBD-II port under the dashboard on the driver's side.
- Select the function and activate the new setting.
- Unplug the module once the change is applied.
There is no need to remove control units, cut wires or take the car apart, and no laptop is required. Make sure the battery is in good condition, because a voltage drop can interrupt the process. Installation manuals and videos are on the MWMods website and YouTube channel.
