Editorial Policy
The MWMods Knowledge Hub explains how Mercedes-Benz systems work and what software modules change in a car. This page describes how our articles, FAQ answers and glossary terms are prepared, where the facts come from and how we handle updates and mistakes.
About the Knowledge Hub
The Knowledge Hub is run by MWMods, a company that sells software modules for Mercedes-Benz cars.
Its purpose is to help owners understand their car before they change anything: which equipment the car has, how a function works, what a modification affects and what to check first. All materials are free to read and do not require an account.
Who prepares the materials
Articles, FAQ answers and glossary terms are prepared by the MWMods Knowledge Hub editorial team. Every article and glossary term names its author, and the author page lists everything that person has published on the site.
Before publication, texts are edited for accuracy, clarity and consistent terminology, and the English, German and Polish versions are prepared from the same source text.
Where the facts come from
Technical statements on this site are based on sources that can be checked:
- publicly available technical information about Mercedes-Benz models, equipment and functions;
- product information and compatibility data for MWMods modules;
- laws and official guidance where a topic touches regulations, for example emissions rules in the United States.
When sources disagree, or a detail depends on the model year, market or equipment, we say so in the text instead of giving one answer for every car.
MWMods products in our materials
MWMods sells modules for some of the functions described on this site, and a page may link to the related product. We keep the explanation separate from the offer: a page first explains how the system works and what a modification can and cannot do, including cases where a module will not help.
For example, LED High Performance headlights cannot be turned into MULTIBEAM LED headlights with software, and we state this plainly. Before ordering, we recommend confirming compatibility with your VIN.
Updates and dates
Mercedes-Benz changes equipment and software between model years, and modules change too. We review materials when models, firmware or products change, and update the text when something is no longer accurate. Each page shows the date of its last update.
Corrections and questions
If you find a mistake or outdated information, write to info@mwmods.com and include the page address. We review every report, correct confirmed errors and update the date on the page. Questions about this policy can be sent to the same address.
Safety and legal notes
Our materials are for information only. They do not replace a dealer or a qualified workshop, and they are not legal advice. Depending on the country or state, some modifications may be restricted on public roads or may affect emissions compliance, warranty or vehicle inspection. Before changing your car, check the rules that apply where you drive.
